Subject: 3 forgettable stories
Of the 3 stories, only the first is a Christmas tale--and all are easily forgotten.

“A Christmas Fairy” (John Strange Winter)—the children are un-humanely good and proper; “Not Quite True” (Mrs. Molesworth)—tedious; “In the Chimney Corner” (Frances E. Crompton)—cute, sort of.
